OVERVIEW
In lieu of an in-person Food Show in 2020, Food Supply pivoted to provide a virtual vendor video platform with (50+) high-end, 1-minute Partner Product films.
The platform would incentivize Food Supply customers to watch every Partner film through tiered discounts for the number of videos watched.
With (50) 4K films, Food Supply would be able to effectively promote their partners throughout 2021 with videos & stills for nearly every week of next year.
PROBLEM
Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, Food Supply was unable to host their in-person annual Food Show (their biggest marketing opportunity of their partners for the year).
Additionally, streamed virtual food shows of the past didn't provide the viewership nor ROI that partners needed for their products.
Food Supply needed a way to ensure that the show had the attention of their restaurant customers across 50+ potential product partners.
SOLUTION
Oxenfree partnered with Food Supply to create a virtual food show platform with 50+ pre-recorded partner films. Due to the pandemic, we planned a 3-day assembly-line shoot in a COVID-complaint neutral community center venue and product booths on wheels.
With 3 cameras in the main food show set capturing a wide, tight, & overhead plus a macro set capturing slider beauty shots of the booth, we were able to efficiently capture 50+ vendors in 2 days. The 3rd day was devoted to product cooking B-Roll in the Food Supply Test Kitchen with a spinning plate overhead setup for final plated dishes.
In post, our team edited (52) videos in one month, all easily accessible via the 2020 Food Supply Partners Show website during the 4-day Food Show.
RESULT
On December 8th, Food Supply launched its 4-day virtual Food Show featuring 50+ vendors. To be counted toward the discounts, customers had to submit a quiz form proving that they had watched each film. Below are the results from the show!
